Law Enforcement and Emergency Response Training Providers
Dear Friends,
As will happen to almost all ministers for the Lord at some
time, Tom Papania has been attacked. We believe that when a true man of God is
doing the Lord’s work, attacks can only come from the devil. We have victory and
power in the truth. Scripture says that “ye shall know the truth, and the truth
shall make you free” (John 8:31).
Tom Papania notes “I would like the truth about me to be known, but without
diverting the mission of this ministry from saving souls to defending myself
against false accusations. Let my witness speak for itself. With Christian
advisers, I have prayerfully considered bringing suit against my attackers, but
the Lord led me to simply reveal the truth and let the truth work.”
“Above all, my beloved, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or by any
other oath, but let your “Yes” be yes and your “No” be no, so that you may not
fall under condemnation.” [James 5:12]
My name is Robert Taylor, and I would like to put these facts about Tom Papania
and God’s Saving Grace Ministries in front of you.
I was a highly decorated law enforcement officer of 20 years in the state of
Maryland. The company that was founded by me and my father has been a prominent
training provider for law enforcement, military and emergency response agencies
throughout the world for 16 years. I have dealt with criminal elements for
years, and have extensive knowledge and capabilities in finding and discerning
this kind of truth. I also have some knowledge of the legal and prosecutorial
system.
In September of 2003, I recommended Tom Papania as a speaker at our church,
having heard the power of his testimony on the radio in 1996, and personally in
Maryland in 2000. As arrangements were made to publicize his speaking event, I
was informed of certain attacks against him and his ministry, claiming that he
was a fraud. Rather than take someone else’s word for it, yet feeling a
responsibility not to bring falsehood to our church, I conducted a detailed
investigation into the matter.
The results of the investigations have shown that Tom Papania:
Was saved in 1984
Was on trial for racketeering, drug distribution, and murder, (Racketeering
Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act [RICO] from May 1986 until April 1987.
Awaited trial in the Atlanta Federal Penitentiary from May 1986 until April
1987 [he was not allowed bail, and was considered a serious flight risk]
Was found innocent of all charges and released in April 1987
Began ministering to others while in prison the Atlanta Federal Penitentiary
Established God’s Saving Grace Ministries in 1989
Brings help and hope to prisoners and families, single parent households,
homeless shelters, children's home (orphanage), high school, college and
university students, and men and women in the business community.
Led thousands to the Lord during his 14 years of full time ministry both here
in the U.S. and abroad.
Has been used by the Lord to share His salvation and forgiveness message with
over two million people, and thousands of lost souls who simply might not have
otherwise believed that God could forgive and love them.
Developed a ministry based on integrity and has gone to great lengths to have
an accurate accounting for all financial and property donations.
Has turned down various invitations for high profile public appearances, movie
contracts, and book deals so as not to glorify himself, but only bring glory to
God.
Has numerous references from people who have credibility and accountability in
both the Christian and secular worlds.
No creditable or factual information has been discovered, or uncovered that
would refute or disprove ANY testimony or claim made by Tom Papania, or God’s
Saving Grace Ministries.
Intimate knowledge of the criminal investigation process and the prosecution
system leads me to believe that Mr. Papania would not have been as thoroughly
investigated, have such an extensive, detailed and documented criminal justice
record and history, gone to trial nor been jailed if the stories he now freely
tells were not factually accurate.
Tom Papania is now engaged in the life-saving ministry of telling the world that
Jesus came for them, and died for them, and loves them and forgives them, no
matter what sins they committed. That message is crucial to this lost world that
we live in. We humbly pray that this letter helps you to understand that this
ministry should not be impeded by any satan-inspired attacks against it.
We humbly request that if you have any questions about Tom’s ministry, please
present this letter to your church or organization leadership so you can put
forth the truth. Then pray for discernment on any decisions you will make about
Tom’s appearance with you. I submit myself as a witness to the authenticity and
accuracy of all the information provided in this letter. Please email me at
ministry@taylorgroup.net if you’d like to discuss this issue in detail.
We are also able to provide documented information, letters, emails, and
telephone contacts supporting the above findings. They derive from creditable
sources, with detailed and specific knowledgeable about this situation.
In following biblical guidelines to confirm the truth from more than one
witness. Should you have issue with your brother, go to him personally. To date,
Tom has had 198 cancellations, due to many people not carrying their research
beyond the lies that are being told. If his testimony leads just 10 people to
know the truth about God’s saving grace at each event that might represent 1,980
people who did not hear the truth because of satan’s interference.
I sincerely thank you for your consideration,
Sincerely,
Robert E. Taylor, Jr.
